In terms of the silos cereal grains and other loose materials offered by Polnet, among the available assortment of products wee can distinguish five primary product groups.
Cereal grain funnel farm silos
Silos of this type are used for long term storage of grains, primarily for smaller agricultural farms with a small yearly rotation. Depending on the specific product type, they may feature a capacity ranging from 27 to 157 tons. Thanks to the incorporation of a funnel installed at an angle of 45°, emptying the silo is simple and takes place very quickly. In its construction we as a standard incorporate a specialized aeration system, which translates to a long period of maintained freshness of materials stored in the silo.
Large cereal grain funnel silos
These silos are used for long term storage of cereal grains and come in the form of buffer silos, installed by cleaners and dryers. The primary difference between large funnel silos and farmer silos is their construction. These silos are used to build medium sized bases and typically industrial ones with a large grain rotation. As standard, capacities range from 94 to even 1055 tons. Additionally, some of our large funnel silos can bee also used to store slow running materials. These containers come as standard equipped with a funnel at 45 degrees. However, for bases which use slow running materials, such as meal, particularly close to feed mixers – we use silos with a funnel at an angle of 60 degrees. Additionally, if necessary, we equip them with vibrating bottoms. We also line the interior with smooth sheet metal.
Flat-bottomed farmer silos for cereal grains and corn
This product type is intended for storing cereal grains as well as leguminous plants and corn. Thanks to the incorporation of a base perforated on 90% of its surface in the structure, the grains may be stored for extended periods without degradation of quality. The capacity of the silos ranges from 30 to 300 tons.
Large flat-bottomed silos
Flat-bottomed corn, cereal grain and leguminous plant silos feature a capacity ranging from 380 to 10 000 tons. It distinguishes itself from the previously discussed product – apart from its larger size – by a proportionally smaller base perforation surface, which depending on the model is up to 30%. The silo interior is still optimally aerated to facilitate long-term storage of food. If it is necessary to purchase a silo of more 1000 tons in capacity, the purchase of a flat-bottomed silo is a requirement, as funnel silos are available up to an average capacity of 1000 tons.
Cereal grain silos with internal funnel
The final type of products available in our offer combines the advantages of flat-bottomed silos and funnel silos. On one hand they ensure excellent air circulation within thee entire funnel structure (thanks to the use of perforation), while on the other hand – they guarantee a fast and extremely easy unloading of grains based on the force of gravity. Silos of this type are offered to customers in capacities ranging from 26 to 390 tons.
In terms of silos, the Polnet company also provides Customers with a wide range of standard and optional equipment. Depending on the specific product, this can encompass: aeration systems, roof mounted turbo-ventilators, entry ladders, anchors, unloading sleeves, as well as advanced temperature measurement, filling and feeding level sensors.

Grain silo manufacturer – what makes our offer stand out?
Being aware of the demands of the silo manufacturing market, apart from a broad and highly diversified offer Polnet also provides its Customers with high product quality. The product range offered by our company distinguishes itself among competitive products primarily by the incorporated sheeting construction – corrugated sheet metal enriched with zinc plating in an amount of 350 grams per 1 m2. This material is characterized by a significantly higher resistance do deformation and long-term exploitation compared to the flat sheet metal with 275 g of zinc plating per m2, most often used by other silo manufacturers. Additionally, its key properties also include excellent resistance to weather conditions and the fact that its structure is less susceptible to heating under the influence of solar radiation. The latter two factors constitute a significant advantage in the context of quality of the grains stored inside our silos. It is worth mentioning that a zinc plating of 350 g/m2 is an equivalent to so called Galfan ZA300 steel. The difference is, that the 350g/m2 zinc plating consists of 100% zinc, while the Galfan plating features 95 % zinc and 5% aluminum.
